Zoë Keating and Todd Reynolds: Live Web cast and Online Chat
Radiolab's Jad Abumrad Hosts a Live Web cast and Web chat with two High-Voltage New Music-Makers
Wednesday, February 23, 2011
On Sunday, March 6 at 7 p.m., EST, Q2 presents a live audio Web cast of experimental musician and technophile Zoë Keating in a sold-out concert from Greenwich Village's (Le) Poisson Rouge. Joining Keating for a voltaic, electroacoustic double bill is New Music stalwart Todd Reynolds. The evening is hosted by Radiolab's Jad Abumrad who will interview the musicians on stage before joining Q2 host Nadia Sirota in the open online chat embedded below.
A self-described "professional avant cellist and amateur nerd," Zoë Keating is that rare breed of classical musician who prioritizes a freewheeling and imaginative embrace of experimental technology. Her DIY approach to music-making has endeared her to millions; her diverse collaborations have deterred any efforts to pigeonhole her style; the one truth is that her multi-dimensional sound is perfectly in tune with the resonances of our digital age. Violinist Todd Reynolds is another musician whose artistry and desire to reimagine timeworn traditions have taken him into musical territory from Slowboys and his performing partner Michael Lowenstern; to the Meredith Monk Ensemble; to the music of Bang on a Can All-Star Evan Ziporyn.

Wow, this was fantastic. Thank you for sharing, I listened to this all the way from the Dominican Republic. Keep up the great work! Hopefully I will be able to join physically in the future. ;)
Hey JP, we'll have the audio up to stream in a couple days. Thanks for joining us last night!
The concert was incredible!
One question--is the Web cast archived on the site for us to listen to? I'd love to be able to hear it again and share it with friends who couldn't attend the show or listen the live audio, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.
Thanks!
hello zoe!!!!!! hello todd!!!!!!
