Three-City Dash: Music from China and Metropolis Ensemble
Live from Symphony Space on April 7, 2011
Tuesday, June 21, 2011
In a true testament to this country's multicultural mosaic, this April 7 performance from Symphony Space features composers Yu-Hui Chang and Kati Agócs, who combined exemplify Taiwanese, Canadian, Hungarian and American backgrounds. Using the city of Boston as the common denominator, Meet the Composer Studio presents the works of these two women performed by Music from China and the Metropolis Ensemble.
Relishing their instrumental role in bringing together composers, performers and audiences, Meet the Composer (MTC) takes advantage of new media and technology to provide an even closer, in-depth look into composers and their unique creative processes. Check out Yu-Hui Chang and Kati Agócs' personalized homes on the MTC Studio site and experience blog and video posts in addition to the usual bios and audio/visual links.
Don't forget to poke around the Q2 Live Concert archive for more exciting live performances at your fingertips. You can access Q2 24/7 through our pop-out audio player or iTunes. This concert was recorded and mixed by Zach Herchen.
