The 2012 Ecstatic Music Festival, curated by composer Judd Greenstein and housed at Merkin Concert Hall, brought together bold and risk-taking musicians from the "classical" and "indie-rock" worlds for a two-month series of fertile, if unlikely, collaborations. Q2 Music devotes its post-American Mavericks programming this week to a round-up of these 11 Ecstatic concerts. Hear two shows every day at 10 am (repeats at 5pm) and 1 pm (repeats at 8pm).

Monday at 10 am and 5 pm, catch the Festival's opening show by Jherek Bischoff with the Wordless Music Orchestra in collaboration with a who's-who cast of underground rock icons, including David Byrne and Mirah. At  1 pm and 8 pm, tune in for composer Angélica Negrón's performance with guitarist Sxip Shirey, featuring wine glass virtuoso Johnny Rodgers, electroacoustic violinist Todd Reynolds and the 20-piece teen ensemble Face the Music.

Tuesday at 10 am and 5 pm, you'll hear Arcade Fire's Richard Reed Parry in performance with Son Lux and new-music heavyweights yMusic for a set of new arrangements and collaborative works. At 1 pm and 8 pm, we'll turn up the volume as post-rockers This Will Destroy You and Slow Six deliver guitar-driven, electroacoustic sets augmented by the string orchestra A Far Cry (arranged by composer Christopher Tignor).

Wednesday at 10 am and 5 pm, Nick Zammuto (formerly of The Books) and So Percussion's Jason Treuting team up for an evening of spelling bees, oddball commercial music, and live film scores. At 1 pm and 8 pm, hear indie songstress Glasser paired with the progressive vocal ensemble Roomful of Teeth for works by Glasser, Merrill Garbus of tUnEyArDs and more.

Thursday at 10 am and 5 pm, Swedish composer Mikael Karlsson teams up with vocalist Mariam Wallentine of Wildbirds and Peacedrums and the ACME new-music ensemble for a set of new arrangements and the world premiere of a song cycle cowritten by Wallentine and Karlsson. At 1 pm and 8 pm, cult guitar hero Rhys Chatham is joined by Brooklyn psych rockers Oneida for a guitar-heavy set straddling avant garde, punk and free jazz.

Friday at 10 am and 5 pm, electro-wizard Dan Deacon joins forces with NOW Ensemble and Calder Quartet for some serious post-minimalist music incorporating live electronics and player piano. At 1 pm and 8 pm, indie heroes Mountain Goats pair up with the acclaimed a cappella ensemble Anonymous 4 for performances from each group's repertoire and a new song cycle featuring arrangements by Owen Pallett.

Saturday at 10 am, we'll end our Ecstatic Music Festival recap with the series' final concert: Music From Copland House and Music From China, featuring music by legendary Chinese composer Bright Sheng and world premieres by Chinese composers Leung Kei-Chuek, Du Yun and Samson Young, as well as Brooklyn-based composer Derek Bermel.
