Gino Francesconi, the archivist at Carnegie Hall, has worked tirelessly for the past twenty years to collect the lost treasures of the most famous concert hall in New York City. He brings the space to life in an interview with Jeff Spurgeon. Listen to his tales of old New York and the hall while watching the slideshow below.

This is wonderful! I interned with the Carnegie Hall archives during my spring break in 2010. They do wonderful work there, and I am so glad that they are able to find and preserve these amazing records. I love New York, and I love music and history. Gino is a wealth of information, and it was a privilege to work with him.
I have been a volunteer docent at Carnegie Hall since 1993 and Gino is really full of the information, any question arises, he is always able to help out with a solution....great write up...The 120 Anniversary concert on Channel 13 last eve was super....
