Saturday Morning Cartoons: Chopin and Woody Woodpecker
Saturday, November 19, 2011
For this week’s Saturday Morning cartoon, we feature Chopin’s “Heroic” Polonaise in A flat major, Op. 53.
This piece and other familiar music by Chopin can be heard in a 1947 cartoon called, “Musical Miniatures,” in which Woody Woodpecker and Andy Panda give a fiery performance for a barnyard of animals.

I've recently discovered your website, and love what you are doing here! Trying to guess "Where's Beethoven" has been fun, but watching today's musical cartoon brought back early childhood memories of watching TV on Saturday mornings in our apartment in the Bronx, many years ago.
Thanks,
Rochelle
