I'd love to hear some Michael Maniaci, anything from Vivaldi's Ercole sul Termodonte (e.g. the recording with Villazon, DiDonato...), and anything from Landi's "Sant'Alessio."

Also, I love the scene between Wotan and Brunhilde in the last act of Die Walkure, where Brunhilde convinces Wotan to temper his punishment, and the two must bid farewell.

Bizet's Carmen is a great opera, and I would like to hear the second to last song in Act 3 (Je suis Escamillo, Torero de Grenade). The performance I love invovled Plácido Domingo as José with Lorin Mazel conducting at the Opera National de France. The duet between Escamillo and José is just divine!

Operavore, you are terrific. Agree with previous comments asking for more variety to expand my horizons. But I also love the old war horses, in particular anything with Jussi Bjorling, any of the duets with Robert Merrill, or Act III of Manon Lescaut with Dorothy Kirsten. Fritz Wunderlich's Dies Bildness ist bezaubern schon from Magic Flute. Sandor Konya's In Fernem Land from Lohengrin. Act I duet with Sutherland and Pavarotti from Lucia di Lammermoor. Sextet from the same recording. I could go on but note your request to be brief.

One of my favorite things about Operavore? Hearing favorites, but then suddenly hearing something that's new to me and utterly wonderful and sends me rushing to the website's playlist. This morning it was Rachmaninoff's Francesca da Rimini. Another time it was Barber's Vanessa. What a delight. Please continue the musical diversity on Operavore!

I would suggest to include a broader spectrum from the beggining of opera... 1600 and 1700... I'm not sure if is possible to have recordings from that time.

I have many CDs which feature the voice of Ferruccio Tagliavini. I would like Operavor to play for WQXR listeners his voice. I am very sorry that Tagliavini did not receive the exposure he deserved. In a book by Pavorotti the author felt that he must do his best singing when he saw Tagliavini in the audience.

Tagliavini, Italy's greatly admired bel canto tenor, was invited by President Harry S. Truman to the White House when he first arrived in the United States after the end of the European part of World War 2.

Maybe the aria "Ebben? Ne andro lontana" from Catalani's opera "La Wally." I love the version from the film Diva, but there's a great Maria Callas version as well.

And more John Adams please. My favorite is "Batter My Heart" from "Doctor Atomic."

I'd like to suggest the sextet "You Don't Know What It's Like" from Jake Heggie's opera "Dead Man Walking." It's simply beautiful.

I don't have a specific request, just that you offer a little more variety. I love Mozart and Verdi as much as the next person, but how many Sempra Liberas and Dove Sonos do you think we want to hear in a single day?

If I wanted to be able to identify 90% of the songs within their first two measures, I'd listen to CBS FM.

I love Operavore, but I agree with others that it gets a little repetitive. Maybe you could throw in some Stravinsky ("Rake's Progress," Act 1, Scene 3) or Bartok (Door 5 or Door 7 from "Bluebeard's Castle" would be great, especially at night!)

Why can I no longer access Operavore? I have been enjoying listening, but yesterday and today - though i can hear WQXR, I can get no sound when I click on operavore!

Am loving Operavore! I second the motion for a Leontyne Price birthday celebration. Also, please play entire acts of operas instead of only arias. You have the time, and playing longer cuts gives the flavor of drama and story which is such a highlight of the opera experience. Act II of Rosenkavalier please!

I havn't heard about Cristina Villaroel (I think that's how we spell her last name)- I saw her in Madama Butterfly at the Met many years ago and she's on par with Patricia Racette.. and Un Bel Di is always my favorite..

Please play any opera aria, duet, trio with Jonas Kaufmann! Does Lieder fit into your program at all? Kaufmann and others have recorded so many wonderful "art songs."

From Benjamin Britten's Peter Grimes, I love "From the Gutter" (Act 2) and Interlude # 5 (the "Moonlight" Interlude).

For Janacek, you can't go wrong with "Co Chvila, co chvila," from his opera Jenufa.

I love Operavore, but I do second another listener's request for more 20th century opera. Really, it makes my day any time I hear anything from John Adams. More please. And let's not forget overtures, arias and interludes from such greats as Britten, Janacek, and up and comers like Jake Heggie. Can I say I'm a fan of operatic diversity?

The "Whats playing now" line at the top of the Operavore page is never correct. In fact it never changes. Switching to the "Full Player" only lists the day's itinerary up till 6:pm or there abouts. This also was true with the OBeethoven month long streaming. Also that line is 1/2 masked. Can you help? I'm using IE 8. Thank you.

Please play more of Bellini and Donizzetti: it seems that these two bel canto composers are very under-represented in the stream.

Anything John Adams, and some Philip Glass would be marvelous. Let's not forget that opera is a tradition, alive, well, and made in the present day!
