Today at 2 pm: The Dude Conducts Brahms

This week WQXR is celebrating Johannes Brahms’s birthday (born May 7, 1833). We’re doing it with the help of the young and charismatic conductor, Gustavo Dudamel, and the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra.
Join us Monday through Thursday for a symphony a day from two recent concerts that Dudamel led at France’s Salle Pleyel.
The Venezuelan-born Dudamel is in his third year as music director of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. In June he'll bring his other main orchestra, the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, to London as part of the cultural celebration organized to coincide with the summer Olympic Games.

Tuesday: Brahms Symphony No. 2 (recorded April 20, 2012)
Wednesday: Brahms Symphony No. 3 (recorded April 13, 2012)
Thursday: Brahms Symphony No. 4 (recorded April 20, 2012)
