We Got Your Bach: Bach 360's Generator of Bach Puns
Thursday, March 21, 2013
Is it getting Bach in here or is it just me? Yes, we're bringing sexy Bach. Are you ready to Bach around the clock?
From the very first mention of the Bach 360 festival, we haven't been able to help ourselves when it comes to Bach puns. Really, we can't help ourselves. So, we've embraced it and invite you to as well.
Tweet us your favorite visual or verbal Bach puns using the hashtag #Bach360 or leave them in the coments section at the bottom of this page and we'll add them to our Generator of Bach Puns (click on the Compose Another button to see more) or Bach 360 Pinterest board throughout the festival.
Yeah, we got your Bach.

Frankly, as a romantischer Wagnerian heldentenor with a three octave range which even on my acuti, highest pitches, remains masculine, even heroic, I am not obsessed by the timbre of thre voice so much as the musicianship and beauty of the toine quality. BACH has been transposed to many formats, including the MOOG and other electronic representations. BACH's music is universal and appreciated by the most unlikely panorama of chamber music enthusiasts, punk rock singers and their fans and everyone in between in terms of style or format appreciation. WAGNER's DIE MEISTERSINGER owes much in its composition to WAGNER's amazement at the contrapuntal schematic of BACH's music. I am a Wagnerian heldentenor, an opera composer, "Shakespeare" and "The Political Shakespeare" and director of the Richard Wagner Music Drama Institute. My websites where one may download, free, my singing of 37 out of the 100 selections that I have sung in four solo concerts at the Isaac Stern Auditorium of Carnegie Hall by going to Recorded Selections on; www.WagnerOpera.com, www.ShakespeareOpera.com and www.RichardWagnerMusicDramaInstitute.com.
Roles that are represented in my singing to be heard on my websites are: Tristan, Goetterdaemmerung Siegfried, Lohengrin, Parsifal, Siegmund, Walther von Stolzing, Florestan, Federico, Eleazar. and Judas Maccabaeus.
NEVER. DO. THIS. AGAIN.
What a glorious tribute to Bach and to life! I am very grateful to WQXR for celebrating Bach's birthday with this 10-day span of inspired and inspiring music. Thank you! (And yes, I contributed, too)
I have enjoyed waking up every morning to Bach, it made my day. Bach is one of my favorite composers and I couldn't be more thrill to hear him 24 hours a day. I hope that it's done again some time in the future.
Thanks to you, I have not watched television in 10 days, and have not felt the lack. Ending with the B-Minor Mass is an inspired idea, a glorious finale. Yes, I made a donation. I wanted the Bach bag.
This superb Bach fest on WQXR has been a "Bachanale" of his music. Superbly designed and delightful. My whistling muscles have been getting some workout with all the tunes I've grown to know and love!
Thanks to you and this comprehensive programming.
I have enjoyed the Bach 360 immensely. The total immersion into the works of Bach especially during Easter/Passover is genius. I hope that WQXR will make this an annual staple.
Thank you !!!
Bachi e abbracci...

Bach 360 was a beuatiful Easter gift. I love the oratorios. Most of all I love the presentation of strings, piano, organ, and voice for this magnificent music.
.
Hallelujah!!! Tomorrow it's Bach to your regular programming!
Five friends came. for Easter dinner today and unbeknownst to m, we have all been listening to every moment of Bach360. We agreed that the last 11 days couldn't have been better. We hope that you will do it again sometime!
PS. The App is wonderful!
@Howard Thaler from Floral Park, NY:
Perhaps Bach could not rise to the occasion of pastry chef due to a lack of enough dough-re-mi to afford a well-tempered oven, in other words, he was baroque.
I personally have enjoyed this program, puns and all. Although I sympathize with others that haven't enjoyed it as much as I have. To the point that Yvonne brought up, perhaps a more spread out program, with the first hour of every host devoted to the artist of note, would be a happy medium. Bach on!
They say that at one point in his life, Bach tried to give up composing and become a pastry chef, but, unfortunately, things never really panned out for him. As a matter of fact, his brief excursion into the world of food preparation was pretty much a total deBACHle. Fortunately, within a very short while Bach regained his composure, and was soon cooking up masterpieces of the musical variety once again.
Why all the Bach puns in English, when all the music is being sung in the original German? Since this is an American radio station, looking at Bach from every angle, why not have some of it sung in English translation? Not ONE piece sung so we can understand the words? That really takes me aBach.
I love WQXR and I love Bach. I am a pianist and enjoy playing Bach. I am also a doner to the station to which I have listened to since I was a child. However, this week I listened to the rock stations, and the news stations. I was hoping that each time I turned to WQXR in the AM, it would be over. I have had enough of Bach.. Maybe I'm one of the few, but I can't stand it anymore. It all sounds the same, now.. I hope I don't hear it played for a very long time. And I hope that this isn't a preview of other Easter Weeks. In other words, I am all Bachsed out.,I am hoping that by tomorrow, Monday, April 1st, I will hear Beethoven, Brahms, Mahler, Shostakovich, Mozart.....anything but Bach.

I am always grateful that there is WQXR, that when I awake each morning there is some good music to hear, listen to and enjoy. The playlist does not always include what I like and enjoy, but it's usually sufficiently pleasant.
I could listen to Bach for two years non-stop and not tire of it; I must confess, though, that I have missed hearing a bit of Faure here and there, as ell as Vaughan Williams, Beetoven and a couple of others without having to play some of my own collection. Still, I have rather enjoyed this Bach-fest, although I must wonder how the programmers got this outrageous idea approved by - whomever. I think it's reckless and rather inconsiderate. There are people who contribute a lot of money to this station; they tune in to hear a variety of music - well, sort of. Should some of them happen not to appreciate Bach's music, they must stay away from the radio station they help keep on the air for 10 days. That's a third of a month. I wonder if that occurred to the programmers, and if so, what would they say those listeners? I feel rather badly for them, and I usually don't care what other people think, do or say.
Then, I dislike puns immensely. I think they're silly, they're painfully forced and entirely unnecessary.
Last, a word to the person who referred to Roger Federer's BACKhand: Gasquet's is loads better, more beautiful and captivating than Federer's. So is Hass's, and half a dozen others'.

I love J.S. but it is true that not every note he composed is of equal merit--and yes, it can become somewhat tiring. But on the whole, this has been a wonderful immersion, a kind of tutorial. I heard many works for the first time, and discovered-and rediscovered- amazing performers and ensembles.
So as the festival draws to a close,I offer my thanks to WQXR.
I have one more thing to add:
Y'all come Bach soon, hear?!

Johann Sebastian Bach was walking down the street one afternoon in Leipzig. A music-hater spotted him, picked up a piece of dog poop, and flung it at his head. Bach ducked, and the poop sailed past, missing the great man by barely a quarter of an inch.
-What has this incident come to be known as?
-This incident has gone down in history as a "Close Encounter of the Turd Kind."
Bravo to Bach! WQXR's 10-day total immersion is brilliant! Coupled with the fascinating "factoids" about Bach, this wonderful excursion is tantamount to enrolling in an advanced music class. I wish you could program a similar event devoted to Antonio Vivaldi. The Baroque era is the best! Fantastic research and programming. Keep it up!
This has absolutely nothing to do with Bach puns, but did you hear about the big Santa Claus scandal? Yea, it was discovered that Santa is a dirty old man, and that he's been consorting with prostitutes three at a time. The way they found out is that somebody asked him, "What did you get for Christmas last year?" and Santa answered, "Ho....Ho....Ho!"
I'm so glad we're at the end of this Bachanalia! While I applaud the wish to provide the listening audience w/a wide sampling of Bach's works, not everything he wrote was genius. I just heard Clayelle announce that this (Bach 360) may be repeated next year so I would like to offer a suggestion. Whether with Bach or Beethoven (or any other composer you may be thinking of highlighting) do a month-long program but only feature the composer's music during a particular hour. That way, those of us who don't particularly enjoy hearing that composer's music can make other listening choices for that hour. (During these past 10 days, I listened to other radio stations or CDs for significant portions of the day in order to get away from the over-saturation of Bach. I can't wait for you to get bach to your regular programming!
Bach.....Humbug
Justin Timberlake's new classical album.....I'm bringing sexy Bach.
......and now Bach to our regularly scheduled programming.
What did Bach say to Handel? Where have you been Hayde?
Who were the scariest, most intimidating members of Bach's church choirs?
-The Sopranos
I just BACHed up my hard drive.
Definition of the fugue: When the subject enters, the audience exits. ;-)
Why is the Christmas Oratorio being played the day before Easter? And, there is a lot more to Bach than cantatas. There is so much Bach that is uplifting - maybe it is just a coincidence with the times I have tuned in today - but I think the programming could use some uplift!
Thanks to Bach-'n'-all-a-ya for giving us a sensual feast these 10 days.
@ Rit from Manhattan:
Perhaps your Rhode Island pun was said in Ernest and you meant Bloch Island? Okay, I'll Bach off now.
Heard from the band section at a recent football game: "Bach that kick! "
Years ago a TV show featured teens dancing with great abandon to Brandenberg #2. "It has a great beat and you can dance to it." Bach'n'Roll?
Love this marathon.
A real Bachbuster!
Keep it up.
The age old question: on a deserted island which composer if you can only listen to one? Bach. Where? Bach Island, part of Rhode Island.
I like to drive my Porche Bachster
I'm actually counting down the days til TELEMANN-360!

The negro asked me for money I said no! The next step was for the negro to put a gun in my face, so I gave him all the money I earned on the job.
We children did not like going into the gymnasium so that Dr. Jonas Salk could stick a big needle into our arm. Man, we cannot get anywhere with this kid(meaniing philly)but look what's walking down the street, let's jump aboard.
Instead of totes-you should be giving out Bachpacks.
(I, for one, have been enjoying this programming!)
Johann Sebastian Bach was walking down the street one afternoon in Leipzig. A man approached him from the opposite direction. When the man got directly in front of Johann, all of a sudden he threw up both his hands.
Astonished, Bach said to him, "Oh my God, what have you been eating?"

It's not widely known that the majority of baseball fans are musically sophisticated and have no problem at all reading musical notation. During the baseball season, they sharpen their note-reading skills by studying the Bach scores in the newspaper.
Bach to Mr. Squirrel. I never have witnessed a more intense reaction to the music of J.S. Bach than that of the upper class squirrel who lives in Garden City, NY. He heard WQXR's Bach festival blasting from my car radio, and was standing upright on the side of the road, hearing the music.
I once had contact with a squirrel and it was a very nice experience so I was hoping for a repeat, no way; he was so absorbed with the music of J.S. Bach he would'nt even give me "the time of day."
To JC, CPE, WF and all JS's male progeny...SON OF A BACH!
Bach and Blue, I was driving my car one day with Bach's music blasting from the car radio, a group of very young black girls were standing on the corner, when they heard the music comming from the car radio they started to dance. I thought to myself that they were good dancers.
Bobby Mcferren's rendition of the music of J.S. Bach, gives reason and justification to the manufacture of thorazine.
As a regular listener for 10+ years, and member, I'm not enjoying Bach 360.I miss the variety of the music during the day.
hey, UWS/NYC, L. van Beethoven said, that's no brook that is the ocean.
What do Alexander Borodin and Barbara Hendricks have in common?
Chemistry?
Bachgeist is equal to perfection.

7 6 1 7 B A C H B is for Bach A is for Astral C is for Cosmic and H is for Heaven.
But seriously, folks:
I think some of the comments from the naysayers may result from the fact that much of Bach's vocal music demands to be listened to attentively, thus preventing multitasking. Conversely, multitasking may be possible while listening to much of his instrumental music--although attentive, active listening is much preferred and unquestionably yields infinitely greater rewards.
Query: Is it possible that some of us have brains that are "hardwired" to respond to counterpoint?
Suggestion: To entice lovers of Baroque or Jazz to also join the other camp, expose them to the Dave Brubeck OCTET LP.
Dear Johann Sebastian
you're never out of fashion
So you we anoint
king of counterpoint
You make us joyous
both girlus and boyus
You cleanse our ears of rap
and other kinds of crap
We've sung your praises
these many nights and dayses
But you've caused us our duties to shirk
so soon we must get Bach to work
With apologies:
Why did Johann Sebastian have to write a notebook for Anna Magdalena?
To get Bach in her good gracenotes after she caught him consorting with a Tartini
XBach 360!
Thanks for the Bach fest! I'm a casual listener who forgets for months to even check in on WQXR. But I heard about this on WNYC and have listened to QXR more in the past week than in the past year. I sympathize with people who listen to WQXR all day every day and are tired of it. Just wanted you to know that for less constant listeners, this was an effective way to draw people in. I've been tuning in all week and, now that I'm reminded, will keep this station in regular rotation. Well done -- or as they say, I'll be bach.
reading the comments, it appears that some feel Bach is shvach, not me, I think he is, Johann Super Bach.
To Woody from NC; Don't U mean "When WQXR is finished with the playBach, Mozart will come out of Haydn"?
What instrument do mafiosi use to play Bach?
The viola da Gambini.
Why was Leon Fleischer lucky?
Because his Bachhand finally recovered.
Why is Bach's music like playing tennis?
They both consist of a series of point/counterpoint.
Far be it from me 2 Telemann what 2 do, but all of us grateful Bach fans should now shell out the big Buxtehude to support his great legacy.
don't worry, this will all go Bach into Haydn soon
Why did Bach wear a wig?
So the artist who created his portrait on the chapel ceiling wouldn't produce a Frescobaldi.
Handel says; Bach to basics. Does that mean the elimination of
The devil and all the crap that belongs to him?
Handel says, Bach to basics. Does that mean the elimination of the devil and all the crap that belongs to him?
Is it true that Bach wrote his world-famous "Coughy Cantata" while suffering from bronchitis? And did he complete work on Cantata BMV3, Ach Gott, die manches Herzeleid (Oh God, how much Heartache) while overcome by flatulence?
OK, so Bach and Handel are on the checkout line at the cafeteria and Bach turns to Handel and says, "You'll have to pay for mine, I'm baroque"!
BACH 360 is the best!
Bach is a tasty treat for the ears as Jack-in-the-Bachs is for the mouth.
My cat's stopped using his litterbach. Out of respect.
Doo doo doo lookin out my Bach door- Credence Clearwater Revival
This proves the theory that there can, indeed, be too much of a good thing. I adore Bach, but. Oh for a frisson of Faure. A mote of Mozart. Even a stitch of Stokowski would do to cut the richness of too, too much Bach. A great idea, but not one I would vote for repeating.
Well, I never thought I would do it, but I had to. I turned off WQXR in my house and in my car. It's not that I don't like Bach, I do. He wrote some of the most sublime and inspiring music of all time. However, so did Beethoven & Mozart and I like them much better than Bach, since I am not a fan of the Baroque period in general, but I don't want to listen to only them all the time, either. I think the big deal with Bach is that he did it first and paved the way for everyone else. Oh, the reason I don't like the Baroque period of music is that so much of it is boring and the vocal pieces with it's millions of notes drive me crazy. Bach was a giant. No doubt about it; brilliant and inventive, but I think it was a poor decision on the part of someone at WQXR to say to thier listeners, 'We're playing Bach and only Bach for 10 days. If you don't like it, change the station.' I don't know if that's a good attitude for a station who frequently asks for contributions from their listens to keep them on the air.
Question: What kind of music do they play in Bankruptcy Court? Answer: Baroque.
Several days ago the on-air host mentioned that "...musicologists have almost come to blows over the question of whether some of Bach's cantatas have been lost. This led me to wonder whether the controversy might evolve into a blood fugue.
Thank you for Passover music. Hag sameah!
With this ten days non-stop Baroque music festival, WQXR has really bent over Bachwards to please its listeners.
It's a little known fact that sheep are great lovers of Baroque music. Ask any sheep who her favorite composer is, and she'll answer immediately, "Baaach! Baaach!"
Re the question of "catholic church:" in the Mass, it's in the creed. It doesn't mean Roman Catholic; "catholic" in that sense means universal. I grew up Lutheran, and in the Athanasian Creed (a real long one we never used), there was an asterisk after "catholic" saying this -- after all, God forbid we should be considered "catholic." Now, as an Episcopalian, "catholic" is in the creeds, without an asterisk. And re the mass, it is the same service, the same liturgy used in Roman Catholic, Lutheran, Episcopal, and other Christian denominations. Many Protestants don't like to use the term "Mass" because they don't want the "Catholic" association. It's an "us vs them" thing, which is really silly. But in Bach's time, Mass was used across the board. It still is, in other Lutheran countries.
The world will never forget the immortal words of Ebenezer Scrooge, a Baroque music-hater if there ever was one: "Bach, humbug!"
WQXR announcer - "We will hear some Bach...and Offenbach...but not often."
I love Bach, but agree with those listeners who say it is too much! Bach was the greatest composer of all, there is no doubt about it.
And listening to his music proves this! All performers are exceptionally great, all the best in the world! And of course great thanks to WQXR for this tremendous work! But still I believe we all need a break! I was very much looking forward for this event, but now I am tired, want something else, maybe to appreciate Bach even more!
A great softball team from WQXR- Bach's Office Hits.
A Bachanalia for tea drinkers.
Too much Mr. B....
I can handle him in reasonable doses.
Have had to change my listening habits during your ill advised orgy...
See you when you regain your equilibrium.
My friends and relatives classical music lovers seem to share the thought.
too much of anyuthing leaves you with a gut ache.
You have also disturbed my sleep...
Roger Federer's BACH hand is a real work of MOZart!
Absolutely loving it! Thank you, WQXR!!!
This was okay for awhile, but WQXR needs to Bach off a bit. Put Jo out in the Bach yard now and give him and us a break. Ten straight days of a musical suppository up the Bachside has only plugged up your programming, with no immediate relief in prospect.
Can't compete with you all on the puns but...a verse comes to mind:
Every note Sebastian wrote.
Also won a brand new tote!
So anywhere I’m good to go
With QXR in rain OR snow.
Also to answer Gerhard Schreiber (earlier entry)and others who question Bach's religious leanings. He may well have composed for the Roman Catholic Church as the station has mentioned, but also, liturgical churches(including Lutheran) celebrate the Mass(Luther quote: "We do not abolish the Mass but religiously keep and defend it."),but with a different theological focus. See Wikipedia article on Mass for fuller explanation.
We're cooking Bachjoy tonight! All this fine music being played, good chance Little Sheba will come Bach. Bach me up on this, the next composer to highlight in this manner should be Christopher Rouse! Jerry OrBACH could have made some fine dance moves some of these sounds. Bach in the ole town tonight WQXR is being heard from every broadcast tower. Is there such a thing as going Bachers from too much of this? Bach Bach, whose's there? Bach.
Muhammad Ali .....world renowned Bachser
Please play the recently discovered Casino Cantata by Bacharat
i just wanted to respond to all the people telling WQXR what a bad idea all bach is..
i for one, am absolutely loving it. doing this once every year is brilliant. i've been turning it on constantly just to hear as much as i can. all of my free time, has been devoted to listening to WQXR. actually some of my paperwork is getting bached up because of it...
anyway, to all the people threatening to stop tuning into WQXR, i think they're all bach and no bite. just ignore them.
peace love and bach

Bach marathons should be run in ReBachs
Perform the next marathon in the new Bachley Center in Bachlyn
I HAVE NO PUN - ONLY A COMMENT.
THIS 10 DAYS IS OF BACH ONLY,ABSOLUTE TORTURE FOR ME.
I LISTEN TO WQXR EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE, AND BACH IS MY LEAST FAVORITE COMPOSER. AS A MATTER OF FACT - I CAN'T STAND HIS MUSIC. I KNOW NOT MANY WILL AGREE WITH ME. I HAVE NOTED THAT JAZZ LOVERS FREQUENTLY ALSO LOVE BACH. I LIKE NEITHER. I FIND THEM DEPRESSING TO LISTEN TO.
THEREFORE I HAVE HAD TO TURN MY RADIO OFF AND RESORT TO MY OWN ALBUMS OF RECORDED MUSIC.
OF COURSE I DO NOT TURN OFF THE RADIO WHEN YOU PLAY A BACH PIECE HERE AND THERE. BUT 10 DAYS! AND NOTHING ELSE!!! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?
I COULD ALMOST UNDERSTAND 10 DAYS OF BEETHOVEN, MAYBE MOZART, OR OPERA... BUT FRANKLY - 10 DAYS OF ANY ONE COMPOSER CAN BE GRATING.
I LOVE THE VARIETY YOU PLAY, AND THE SERENDIPITY OF EACH PIECE YOU PLAY. IT'S EXCITING TO HEAR MUSIC I LOVE, AND TO LEARN TO LIKE OR LOVE NEW PIECES.
PROBABLY NOBODY, OR VERY FEW WILL AGREE WITH MY FEELINGS ABOUT BACH - AND 10 DAYS OF IT - BUT I HAD TO LET YOU KNOW.
I CAN'T WAIT TILL APRIL FOOL'S DAY WHEN YOU RETURN TO THE WONDERFUL VARIETY YOU USUALLY PLAY. AND, PLEASE - NO MORE BACH FOR AT LEAST A DAY OR TWO - AFTER THE 10 DAYS?
I listened last week to Bach's Mass in B-minor at the Philharmonic. Being Jewish, I was taken aback that in one verset, the text refers to the Catolic Apostolic Church, wasn't Bach a Lutheran ? Please enlighten me, thanks.

@ Swedie:
When she retrieved her unmentionables, I bet she said "I'll be Bach in a minuet."
Bach's music is infectious -- it's a Bachteria, and I have a chronic case. Hear about his Canine Cantata? "Wachet Arf."
He wrote "Air on the G String" when he came home and found Anna Magdalena's personal laundry hanging out to dry. "Ach, Liebchen! What the fugue...? Is a disgrace!" But it was only a "minor" indiscretion. So he wrote her a song:"There Ain't No Woman Like the One I've Gavotte."
The Mets' starter Johann Sebastian, was pulled in the 7th inning for giving up Bach-to-Bach home runs.
You really don't have to publish the nay-sayers who are complaining about too much Bach. Just tell them you'll get Bach to them.
Jacques, come Bach Offen.
Regarding the tote bag giveaway: Bachtotem.
I do not like anymore WQXR broadcasting.
The programming is very repetitive.
I cannot listen Bach music all day.
Your marathon broadcasting all Bach music is a BAD IDEA.
You continuously ask for donations but WXQR does not even have a way to contact the programmers.
I HAD TO DISCONNECT WXQR and tune another radio because it is impossible for me to listen a radio broadcasting only Basch music.
Suprised no one came up with this one already: Sitting in the Bach Lounge, reclining on a Bachalounger
But staying on topic and with apologies to Beethoven and The Andrews Sisters -
Of Bach, one is compelled to say: "Bei "meer" bis du schoen."
"Meer" is German for "ocean or sea."
Not a funny pun. But the famous reverential play on the master's name.
"Not Brook but Ocean should be his name."
- Ludwig Van Beethoven ("Bach" is the German word for "brook")
And yes. Let's hear the wonderful Swingle Singers. And more P.D.Q. Bach. To quote Peter Schickele -The oddest of Bach's 20-odd children.
Bach360: more than music - a radio bachumentary.
These earlier puns are merely a prelude! I thought for sure they'd be fugue and far between, but you guys are on a roll with some of these.! And you know what they say; if it ain't Baroque, don't fix it! I'm out of the game though; musical punning has never been my forte.
After Kurt words were said over a fugal matter, the suite couple decided to go for baroque, composed themselves without tea and symphony and vowed to get Bach together in a little Weill.
As the chiropractor said to his patient, "nice to see your Bach."
YES, I'M A BRUTE, A SUPER ONE BRUTE... ENOUGH OF BACH, PLEASE!. HE'S GREAT, BUT... AFTER A WHILE FEELS HEAVY! NOT FOR EVERYONE ...TOO MUCH!
NOT A GOOD IDEA. I NEED SOME BRUCKNER, MAHLER, DEBUSSY, THE GREAT ROMANTICS. IT'S ONLY AN OPINION. SIGNED: A BRUTE
We're enjoying WQXR,s programming so much that we've decided to treat ourselves to bachlava for dessert tonight; I've added it to my to-do liszt. I agree that the movie pun is the best so far; how about "BaroqueBach Monteverdi"?
Rock out with your Bach out baby!
This just goes to show the lengths to which QXR will go to suggest that we shouldn't take this music too seriously, as though the Borsina wearing hipsters that the station seems to be courting will flock to the station to hear J.S. Bach because we are showing how ironic we can be.
Just play the music, like they do on WKCR: that's a college station, and does just fine without trying to be clever all the time.
I have always loved Bach. But seriously folks...why are you doing this? It's just too much.
Bachiana brasileira on a G string.

These puns are making me so hot and bothered, I have to go Jacques Offenbach.
Steven Spielberg is going to make a movie about famous composers starring action stars. Sylvester Stallone asks if he can play Mozart. Jean Claude Van Damme wants to play Beethoven. Arnold Schwarzenegger says, "I'll be Bach."
Then Speilberg is going to make a Western about a famous composer, "Bach in the Saddle Again."
Then one about a composer that goes to get a degree: "Bach To School."
We can Handel you turning your Bach on us, rather than Baching-off.
My wife says she loves Bach "bach to bach"
Do not put a wishbone where a Bach-bone ought to be.

Five, six, seven o'clock, eight o'clock Bach,
Nine, ten, 11 o'clock, twelve o'clock Bach
We're gonna Bach around the clock tonight!
