FLUFF, that's what this proposal for new flashing lights amounts to, at a time when the MTA has just raised fares again, plans massive service decreases, and in addition says they are in need of being bailed out.
Clearly just another indication of the wrong headed incompetency that got the MTA into this situation, especially with a new president.
What's wrong with a POSTED SCHEDULE of the timetable at the entrance to and on the platform at all stations?
It's lots cheaper, requires a lot less upkeep, and is NOT dependent on an expensive computerized system, which when the "SYSTEM" is being updated or has to be taken out of service.
Then there is the EXCESS MONEY saved can be used for MAINTAIN
SteveH.
