LuPone Will Sing with the City Ballet

Patti LuPone will make her debut at the New York City Ballet in the company's 2011 season.
The New York Times reports that LuPone, who won a Tony for her 2008 performance in "Gypsy" on Broadway, will sing in City Ballet's "The Seven Deadly Sins."
The satirical ballet, which is sung in seven parts, was written by Bertold Brecht in 1933; the music was composed by Kurt Weill. George Ballanchine revived the "The Seven Deadly Sins" in the 1950s in Paris.
