The New York City Ballet will begin its fall season two months earlier than usual.
The New York Times reports that the company will begin its season in September, rather than starting in November. The ballet's 2010-2011 season runs from September through June. Next season will include performances of "The Magic Flute, "The Nutcracker," and "Swan Lake," according to the Times.
The company is currently wrapping up its spring season with new ballets by Benjamin Millepied, Christopher Wheeldon and Melissa Barak, among others.
