Attacks in Lahore Kill Dozens

At least 80 people have been killed and dozens more wounded, following orchestrated attacks in Pakistan today.
The Associated Press reports that gunmen targeting the Ahmadi sect opened fire at two mosques in the capital city of Lahore. Officials believe at least seven people, including three suicide bombers, perpetrated today's attacks, and two men have been apprehended, according to the AP.
Members of the Ahmadi sect consider themselves Muslim, but Pakistan does not recognize them as followers of Islam. The BBC reports that the group has been persecuted in the past; in 1973, Pakistan officially designated the group as "non-Muslim."
Officials have not yet released the names of those responsible for today's attacks, nor have they identified whether the attackers are affiliated with any other group.
