Monday marked the seventh day of protests in Egypt. Demonstrations are expected to continue on Tuesday, with protestors trying to mobilize one million people in Cairo, according to The Associated Press.
President Hosni Mubarak's decision to replace his top leaders seemed to have little effect on protestors still calling for him to step down. The AP reported that hundreds of people crowded airports trying to get home, and the military released a statement saying it would not use violence on peaceful protests.
Press Secretary Robert Gibbs reiterated top U.S. officials' call for an "orderly transition," including "free and fair elections in September for the presidency and for the parliament, constitutional changes that facilitate a more open and more democratic process" during a press briefing at the White House,
