Gee, I didn't know that Jennifer Larmore, recently featured in "Opera News", was also no longer "active today"; nor did I know that this was a criterion for judging quality!
ALL OF THE ABOVE MAKE SENSE AS CHRISTMAS MUSIC.
ALL WELL PERFORMED MASTERPIECES OF THE VOCAL LITERATURE MAKE FOR A FESTIVE OCCASION NO MATTER WHAT THE DATE OF THE PERFORMANCE NOR THE DATE OF ITS HEARING.
How does a singer's activeness make the programming poor? Good singing is good singing. BTW, Bryn is active too.
Amazing!
other than Thomas Hampson, there is not a single track from a singer active today. Poor programming
