Over the past few weeks we’ve been featuring music from artists nominated for Grammy Awards this year. The Grammy Awards are Sunday, Jan 31st.
Last Sunday here in New York, Chamber Music America had its Annual Conference. Awards were given to chamber ensembles for "Adventurous Programming". This year's winners were Chris Byars, Alturas Duo, So Percussion and International Contemporary Ensemble. Terrance McKnight's varied musical experience, from glee club soloist and accomplished pianist, to professor at Morehouse College, and finally as producer and host of several music programs for public radio, opens his listeners' minds and ears.

Somewhat off topic, but I must say I just loved your laid back recap of "The Nose"...and I burst out laughing when you said, "The Nose will be running at the MET..."

I'm staying in for the night, and I just heard "Night Gatherers" by Judd Greenstein on your show. Wow. I have to say--I actually stopped what I was doing to listen. One of the most exciting, intriguing things I have heard in a *long* time. Wow! Thanks for sharing this one.
