Here's a musical question for WQXR's programmers. Why is it that Waldteufel's "Skater's Waltz" is allowed to be played at any time of the year, while other pop selections on winter themes, such as Leroy Anderson's "Sleigh Ride" (a bit of fluff that was reportedly written in July, and that has nothing to do with Christmas), are relegated to the pre-Christmas ghetto?
I guess the related question is whether anyone cares, but I just thought I'd ask.
