Lord of the Rings? Seriously? A New York classical music station should be on the cutting edge, leading audience tastes with the new, the bold and the unusual. Not the pandering that has increasingly come to signify WQXR in 2013.

Re: "The Lord of the Rings" soundtrack bits you've been playing lately: Sorry, but this is kitsch; lightweight stuff. Considering what must be in your library, I'm sure there is a lot of more worthy stuff that we never hear. Don't you want to be taken seriously anymore? I listen to the intensely earnest student announcers on WKCR who play stuff we never hear on this station and wonder why this fact doesn't spur the station management on to do more interesting programming.

I"m trying to remember the name of the guitarist (spanish, classical) I believe you said from Venezuela. I think his music was played on Friday April 26, 2913, during the day, between noon and 4pm, maybe.
Many thanks in advance,
