Thanks for playing "Pohjola's Daughter": I have really loved this tone poem for years, and never (well, hardly ever) hear it played. And, preceded, by coincidence, "Scheherezade", another one that I have liked since childhood. This almost makes up for my requests never being played!
I really do not like the bombastic Scherezade that I am listening to. It's all about the Russian conductor and all the liberties he can take with what is really a rather poetic piece.
