New York Philharmonic
Oh, God!! an unannounced (or did I miss the warnings) pledge drive! Isn't there some way that those of us who subscribe can hear uninterrupted broadcasting? the downside of this is that the musical selections are even more likely to be "Top 40" stuff than during non-pledge time, as we wouldn't want to scare new listeners off with anything challenging.
You sound so misty-eyed when you mention Bernstein. He was a glamour puss but a lousy conductor. I visualize him dancing all over the podium during this session. Yes, I do contribute, monthly basis. Bad form not to do so. I am not a moocher just a snarky old woman.
