The Joshua Bell performance played just before 5:30 this morning is "Air," by Aaron Jay Kernis. Scroll down the playlist to the first selection in "Overnight Music," and you'll see it. You can purchase the performance from ArkivMusic by clicking on the words, "Buy Track" below the title. Thanks for your inquiry, and thanks especially for listening to WQXR!

The two guitarists seem to play very well and sound like they're having a good time, but what they are playing doesn't sound much like Scaramouche.
Just a little. It only makes us miss the real thing.

Good Morning,

I am listening to the beautiful keyboard suite of Handel played by Kieth Jarrett. But what was the piece, contemporary, Jeff Spurgeon played just before, written for Joshua Bell. I really wish to purchase it.
