Thrilling my wife and I really enjoyed bringing in the New Year with WQXR. We hear we knew, and also several pieces that were not known to us. It was overall a delightful several hours of programming. Especially enjoyed sharing the tastes of WQXR's vast and diverse audience. God Speed. Reverend and Mrs Frank and Phyllis Morris
I have wondered for years why LIncoln Center doesn't hold a Mostly Beethovan festival instead of a Mostly Mozart festival. Now that I see this year's countdown list (and I'm pretty sure I can guess what number 1 will be), I think a majority of WQXR's most loyal listeners share my question.
this was such a great idea for classical music lovers...thanks...
Love the Beethoven. Love the Bach. Delighted to hear all 6 Brandenburgs, particularly the 6th.
Glad to see that Copland made the top list, too.
Mahler's Resurrection should stay buried.
I got a violin for Christmas and I love it.
