Like Nancy, I'm also busy with other obligations at this hour on Sundays. It would be great to have a re-run at another time. (Because I love the program -- the bits I've heard have re-awakened my love of choral music)

I enjoyed listening to a piece this afternoon (11/1) that was announced as "song of songs". However I cannot find it on your play list. Can you help? It was played between 4:00 AND 4:30 P.M.

There's an 'a' missing from the end of Rautavaara's name.

C'mon.

Highlands? on WQXR (or what is left of it) on Sunday? Distressing. Kolodin/ Kipnis would be dismayed.

I'll try Bergen and Bach, try to get the bad notes out of my head.

Last hearing for that tune.

Charles

As a choral singer, who started as a child, I am offended by the hideously out-of-tune singing of the Young People's Chorus of NYC just featured performing Del Tredici on Choral Fixation. NYC -- and the world -- is blessed with many children's choruses that can sing at a very high level -- starting with the basic ability to carry a tune. If this group wants to sing for themselves and their families, I encourage that wholeheartedly. But to mislead them into believing that they are performing at a professional level is doing them no favors.

What a treat. The VeljoTormis, a great addition -- sounded ancient, but I think I caught a note that it is a contemporary piece. It sounded like Poulenc for minute.
Breath of fresh air, this choral music. Thank you.

This is a great show -- too bad I can NOT pick up WQXR over the airwaves anymore. This is not the most advantageous time slot for this program, as many of us WITH a "choral fixation" are barely finished singing with our church choirs, and frequently (as I am today) getting ready to sing in a performance this afternoon. I HATE TO LEAVE MY COMPUTER!! Please add a "play later" feature or evening encore of Choral Fixation.

The small square that gives the work and interpreter keeps disappearing and appearing today. This is one of my favorite programs.
