Mozart is the big story this week on Choral Fixation, as we bring you his Great Mass in C Minor.  As if that weren't enough, you'll hear new interpretations of Bach from our featured album of the week, Voices of Bach.

Music featured includes:

Johannes Brahms Four Songs, Op. 17

Felix Mendelssohn Three Psalms, Op. 78

Johann Sebastian Bach Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring

Arvo Part The Beatitudes

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Great Mass in C Minor, K. 427

Johann Sebastian Bach Sei Lob und Preis mit Ehren

Sunday, March 14th, 12 noon...

Why has Annie Bergen been short-changed so often? Suddenly all 4 channels: wqxr, Q2, wnyc fm, wnyc am, all are switched to a Prarire Home Companion recording. Haven't we had enough of this?

You've brought Nimet back, and that's wonderful. Now let's give Annie back her job, ok? Let's get rid of your "now" scene, your cosmopolitan version of New York City that's suddenly come across.

At least stop throwing switches that prevent Annie from broadcasting.

Can you at least do what wqxr used to do only 6 months ago? Can you include its library of recordings or have you sold that off too?

Give Annie back her job. Give Steve Sullivan a job. Get rid of your Helga, Terrence show style, ok? This was once a classical music station that once had class. I even miss the chime tune at the top of the hour. You've lost a lot of class.

Annie has more class I think than any of your decision makers, your wnyc cosmo-dorks.

Get with it. Haven't we had enough now of Thelonious Monk on this channel?

Thanks

I'm assuming your playing Praire Home Companion is unintentional. But if it is intentional, I definitely cast my vote for Bach.

Please return WQXR to it's classical music. There are other streaming stations (I'm listening to a Toronto station now), but I prefer QXR. Is this what happens once we've pledged?

As stated by previous posters, I'm currently receiving WNYC AM on the WQXR streams. I really was looking forward to listening to Chorale Fixation. Please address the situation as soon as possible, preferably before Bach comes on. Thanks.

I am more than a little disappointed after contributing to WQXR, I get saddled with Prairie Home Companion.
Bah Humbug!

You are now (3/14, 12:10pm) playing Prairie Home Companion on all 4 of your internet streams. Could you please restore the correct stream to WQXR; I'm not very fond of faux hillbilly music. Thanks.

It is noon on Sunday Mar14. I am trying to stream WQXR, since I can no longer receive it over the air, and all of your streams are carrying "Prairie Home Companion," which I gather is currently on the AM station. So much for your suggestion that we can replace our over-the-air listening with the web.
