Music in Time of War
This week’s program focuses on composers' reactions to armed conflict, including the great War Requiem by Benjamin Britten. We'll also feature music by Beethoven, Haydn and Shostakovich.

Thank you for teaching me about Antonio de Salazar, the incredible music in O sacrum convivium. To think what a blessing it is that he receive the gift to make such profound music and we may still enjoy it so many many years later. Thank you for including such fine music in your program!

I live in Mexico and try to catch Exploring Music on my computer whenever I can. I don't doubt that I will learn a great deal about Mexican music from this week's programs.
