Thank you for teaching me about Antonio de Salazar, the incredible music in O sacrum convivium. To think what a blessing it is that he receive the gift to make such profound music and we may still enjoy it so many many years later. Thank you for including such fine music in your program!
I live in Mexico and try to catch Exploring Music on my computer whenever I can. I don't doubt that I will learn a great deal about Mexican music from this week's programs. I am enamored of the generous, down-to-earth way Mr. McGlaughlin shares his expertise and love for the music he presents to us each week. ¡Muchas gracias!

Exploring Music with Bill McGlaughlin is an exciting daily radio program that delves into a wide assortment of topics in classical music. Each five-program series builds off a single theme ranging from composer biographies to explorations of various cultures, musical styles, and time periods.
This week’s program focuses on composers' reactions to armed conflict, including the great War Requiem by Benjamin Britten. We'll also feature music by Beethoven, Haydn and Shostakovich.
