This Concert from the Frick Collection features the New York debut of Baroque Chamber ensemble Harmonie Universelle. Comprised of musicians from both Europe and the Americas, Harmonie Universelle takes a fresh approach to the sound of 17th and 18th century music, described as "simultaneously sensual and seductive, sensitive and homogeneous" by Diapason magazine.

This concert from the Frick Collection features the English soprano Kate Royal and pianist Roger Vignoles. In his review of this concert, New York Times critic Allan Kozinn said: “Ms. Royal produces an attractive, fully focused sound, but her most compelling quality as an interpreter is an ability to offset the polished surface of a trained voice with the passion and the sense of collective memory, however illusory, that folk singers bring to their art.”

On this Concert from the Frick Collection, the Szymanowski Quartet play works by Haydn, Shostakovich, Beethoven and of course, Szymanowski. In his review of this concert, New York Times critic Bernard Holland said, "it was hard not to fall in love with the Szymanowski Quartet ... all professionals perform with intensity, but playing from the heart is another matter."
