Tapestry, a Boston-based vocal ensemble, was founded in 1995 at the Longy School of Music and made its debut with a performance of Steve Reich’s Tehillim at Jordan Hall. The trademark of the ensemble is combining medieval repertory and contemporary compositions in bold, conceptual programming.

The group’s concert appearances include the Utrecht Early Music Festival ; the Maastricht Musica Sacra Festival; Regensburg Tage Alter Musik ; the Flanders Festivals of Ghent and Brussels ; Le Donne in Musica, Rome, performances in Ottawa and Montreal; and at the Moscow Conservatory, with upcoming tours in Mexico, Colombia, and Brazil.  In the United States, Tapestry has performed in Massachusetts, Oregon, New York, Texas, Colorado, California, and Washington, D.C. 

Tapestry has made four recordings with Telarc International: Angeli, Music of Angels; Hildegard von Bingen: Celestial Light; Song of Songs ―Come into my Garden; The Fourth River;  Sapphire Night; and two recordings with the German label MDG.  The singers and instrumentalists teach at music conservatories and appear with many other early music ensembles, including Ensemble P.A.N., HourGlass, Sequentia, La Donna Musicale, Handel and Haydn Society, and King’s Noyse.  Tapestry performed at The Frick Collection in 1999.
