Croatian mezzo-soprano Renata Pokupic has performed major roles with the Royal Opera House, Los Angeles Opera, Covent Garden and many other theaters. For her New York recital debut at the Frick Collection, Pokupic chose a diverse program with veteran pianist Roger Vignoles, who first performed at the Frick Collection in 1984.
In addition to sets of songs by Schumann, Faure, Weill and Samuel Barber, Pokupic pays tribute to a lesser-known composer from her native Croatia, Božidar Kunc, who was also the accompanist and brother of Metropolitan Opera star Zinka Milanov.

For more than sixty years, the series Concerts from The Frick Collection has delighted listeners with the finest in keyboard recitals, all manner of chamber groups and groundbreaking early music ensembles. Many of the century's greatest artists have performed in the 175-seat music room at the Frick Collection, the former Upper East Side residence of industrialist Henry Clay Frick.
