You'll hear some of his favorite From the Top moments, he’ll share stories of his multiple lives in music and host Christopher O’Riley presents a world premiere of his work with three young musicians.

This week, From the Top is home in Boston at New England Conservatory's Jordan Hall, where you'll hear a 15-year-old pianist play Prokofiev’s Sonata No. 3 and an 18-year-old mezzo sing from Roméo et Juliette by Charles Gounod. You'll also meet Eran Egozy, a clarinetist and one of the creators of the juggernaut musical video games Rock Band and Guitar Hero, who joins Christopher O'Riley and a teenage cellist to play chamber music by Brahms.

This week, from the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Jamaica Plain, Mass., From the Top celebrates the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through the eyes of today's teenagers. You'll hear the Boston Children's Chorus sing several inspiring pieces and meet a 17-year-old bassoonist whose path parallels Coretta Scott King's early years in music.

From the Top comes from Bethlehem, Penn., this week, featuring young musicians who are up to remarkable things beyond playing classical music. You'll meet a 14-year-old pianist who has appeared in a major feature film, a teenage flutist who's recorded with one of the world's greatest jazz musicians and a From the Top alum who's started a new urban orchestra training program in nearby Philadelphia. You'll also meet an outstanding 11-year-old guitarist and hear the world-famous American Boy Choir.
