Tenor Placido Domingo is often called the Energizer Bunny of Opera and in this broadcast from the Metropolitan Opera, he again shows why. Having just turned 69, an age when most tenors are retired and teaching master classes, Domingo is taking on the title role of Verdi's Simon Boccanegra.

Fellow cast members include Sicilian tenor Marcello Giordani, Canadian soprano Adrianne Pieczonka and American bass James Morris. As when Domingo first appeared in this production 15 years ago--as a tenor--James Levine is conducting from the pit.
