In the 1960s, Marvel Comics' great innovation was to tell stories about super heroes who worried and bickered while they saved the world. These very human super humans such as Spider-Man, the X-Men, and the Fantastic Four were characters readers cared about and identified with. Marvel has gradually brought more and more of their costumed heroes to the silver screen, and the new movie, "The Avengers," brings together several in one film.
David Garland offers highlights from Alan Silvestri's score for "The Avengers," plus music from other Marvel-ous movies including "Captain America," "Thor," "The Hulk" and others. This show will air at approximately 9:10 pm, right after the conclusion of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra live from Carnegie Hall.

John you've got good ears! A quick search shows that that actually is Mr. Narration, Morgan Freeman, narrating the Spider-Man origin story! It's from the Peter Pan LP mentioned here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spidey_Super_Stories
I don't think he's credited on the album itself.
good show the narrator of the spider man record sounded like morgan freeman I loved the stock music used on the old marvel superhero cartoons shown in the 1960s made by the canadian gamma productions The theme songs were also very enjoyable I would love to get a recording of all of it
