Another countertenor!! One (at least) must ask "why?" If a female contralto was good enough for Handel in Dublin, why can't we let a few of them get work in this piece these days? Although countertenors no longer sound as strangely hollow, for the most part, as did Alfred Deller and James Bowman, and although they have long been, oddly, a favorite in England, I'm still not riding that wave, however trendy it has become!
