Soprano Karita Mattila Performs Beethoven and Sibelius

Under the direction of Alan Gilbert, Finnish soprano Karita Mattila joins the New York Philharmonic for Beethoven’s tragic concert aria Ah! Perfido and selected works for soprano and symphony from Sibelius. Bookending the performance is Beethoven’s lighthearted Eighth Symphony and Nielsen’s Second Symphony.
