New York Philharmonic music director Alan Gilbert conducts Dallapiccola’s rarely performed serialist opera Il Prigioniero. Bass-baritone Gerald Finley is The Prisoner, and making their debuts with the Philharmonic are soprano Patricia Racette as The Mother, tenor Peter Hoare as The Jailer and Grand Inquisitor, tenor William Ferguson as the First Priest, and baritone Sidney Outlaw as the Second Priest. Also featured is the Collegiate Chorale, led by James Bagwell.
