The Lyric Opera of Chicago presents The Magic Flute, Mozart's colorful and entertaining opera.
Prince Tamino is in search of the girl of his dreams, with the hapless birdcatcher Papageno as his sidekick. The mysterious Queen of the Night tells Tamino that her daughter, Pamina, is the one for him, and that if Tamino can rescue Pamina from the evil Sarastro, he can marry her. As it turns out, however, Sarastro is not the evil one at all.
This wildly popular 1791 opera includes some of the best-known opera highlights ever, such as the Queen of the Night's "Revenge Aria," which Audrey Luna sings in this production. She is joined by Charles Castronovo as Tamino, Nicole Cabell as Pamina, Stéphane Degout as Papageno and Günther Groissböck as Sarastro.

Beautiful music for a summer afternoon. Virtue triumphs over evil. Sometimes that is a nice change of pace over murder and mayhem.
Thanks for the poem Mr. Eisenberg.
Most operas in German, I own,
Inevitably make me groan,
That is my perception
With one sole exception,
And that lies with Mozart alone!
we enjoy your fantastic music from Buenos Aires thank you and we love youre city.
