Lyric Opera of Chicago's production of Show Boat as broadcast over WQXR today
was absolutely glorious in every respect. The American Musical Theater at its height. Let us hope that the enterprise can be found to put this performance on DVD and/or CD. Thank you, WQXR.
What a beautiful piece of musical Americana. It reminded me of the great film of this musical. Will go rent it right now on Netflix.
