We mark the birthday anniversary of Alan Hovhaness and present a classic recording of Brahms's Piano Concerto No. 1.

Thankyou so much for this concert. It's always good to hear Hovhaness Symphony No.2, an American classic. But he wrote other symphonies too and PLENTY of them! Here is a fascinating article I just found on Alan Hovhaness the symphonist

this is such a ponderous recording of the
Brahms......... something I'm so fond of as a piece, but it is mighty slow today!
