Panic over high debt in Greece, Spain and Portugal caused a sizeable global stock market sale towards the end of last week.
In this week's Washington Report, David Sanger, chief Washington correspondent for The New York Times, joins Kerry Nolan in the WNYC newsroom to discuss the market's plunge, as well as the debt of the United States.
Sanger also gives WQXR a look ahead at the other stories he's covering in Washington, including President Barack Obama's upcoming health care reform summit, and where world powers stand on nuclear sanctions towards Iran.
