President Barack Obama is in the midst of rewriting a document called the Nuclear Posture Review, which lays out the circumstances under which the U.S. would use nuclear weapons.

In this week's Washington Report on WQXR, David Sanger, chief Washington correspondent for The New York Times, joins Dan Blumberg from the WNYC newsroom to talk about why the president is changing the country's nuclear policy, and how Obama's new stance differs from the Bush administration's.
