Last week, we asked you to vote for your favorite woodwind instrument...
I'd like to suggest that someone play the following trombone concerto during "Hot Air" month.
Johan De Meij : T-Bone Concerto
Despite its name, the concerto is very accessible. Joe Alessi recorded it on his "Illuminations" disk. My son is studying trombone in hopes of becoming an orchestral musician, so I have heard several trombone concertos. Most of them (in my opinion) are not written for a general audience, but are written for trombonists, and can be appreciated primarily by them (or by lovers of contemporary music). This one is different.
