Whoa, it would appear that the future is literally now! Congrats, all, we're here. This Winter and Spring look unbelievably tempting for the local New Music enthusiast. There are Music festivals! The Ecstatic Music Festival & Tully Scope, to be specific. The Met is doing Nixon! There will be Wozzeck! The New York Phil is getting Hungary!

I, as they say, am beside myself, and I'll see you all there. No worries if the Upper West Side isn't exactly convenient, Q2 will be bringing fantastic coverage via your internet all season long!

This week we let go of the past and get excited for what's to come. "Highlights from the future" is our week-long theme on Nadia Sirota on Q2. What are you looking forward to this coming season?

Nadia Sirota

In stitches with Cage's Indeterminacy: Part 3!! Getting hungry for mushrooms, too.

"He said, 'Mr. Cage, are you willing to prostitute your art?'"

"I said, 'Yes.'"

Happy 2011, Nadia, Limor & all you guys at Q2, great start to the year and decade today, and super-nice to hear Aaron Jay Kernis talking about his work before this segment. (And what a kickoff, the 100 Greatest Dance Hits, the conga line forms here.)

Looking forward to all the coolness ahead!
