Young Award Winners Step Out

This week, Bob Sherman continues to host recent winners of some of the world’s most elite competitions.

Flutist Aleksandr Haskin, a 2009 winner of the Young Concert Artists Auditions, performs. Haskin makes his recital debut this season in New York, Washington, and Boston.

Next up: 2010 YCA winner, violinist Benjamin Beilman. Beilman has appeared as a guest soloist with the Philadelphia, Detroit, and New Mexico symphony orchestras and is a Presidential Scholar in the Arts.

Finally, pianist Ching-Yun Hu, winner of the 2009 Concert Artist Guild Competition, closes the show. Hu takes her performances around the world this year, with tours in South Africa and China.
