Movies can be very effective at delivering the high drama of deep emotions. Most cinematic love stories have their accompanying "Love Theme," composed to tug at our heart strings, and help us feel the ache and glory of love. I'm sorry you''ve omitted the "Love Theme from The Robe" from the Alfred Newman score. I had a 45rpm recording of that by Les Baxter when I was a teenager, that I literally wore out.

LARA'S music from DR. ZHIVAGO is my pick for sensuous seductive music that can be appreciated well beyond the context. Film has the advantage of a story line that can effectively inspire a specificity that yields well to a broader aspect. The song Tammy from the film of the same name with Debbie Reynolds as Tammy is still relevant and so is Fanny the film whose introduced the song of the same name, also of the female star who also starred in Gigi, still another love song of the titular personality. Who can forget Maurice Chevalier singing of Gigi, not in the film, but on a commercial recording. "Maria" in West Side Story is certainly a classic, well-deserved.
