This week on the Young Artists Showcase, we celebrate the 50th anniversary season of Young Concert Artists with performances from YCA artists past and present.
Recorded in WNYC's Greene Space last week, this evening's presentation features YCA alumni Tim Fain (violin), Ida Kavafian (viola), Marcy Rosen (cello) and Kenji Bunch (YCA composer) and current YCA artists in a program of solo and chamber music by Dvorák, Chopin, Mendelssohn, Antonio Lauro, and Kenji Bunch (full program below).
Highlighting YCA generations, Ida Kavafian will perform with two of her violin protégés, Bella Hristova and Benjamin Beilman, and Tim Fain and Marcy Rosen will play with current YCA pianist Chu-Fang Huang. Another current YCA pianist, Gelb Ivanov, performs Rachmaninoff, while current YCA guitarist Robert Belinić performs Bach selections.
