Violinist Gil Shaham joins the New York Philharmonic after a brilliant performance with the orchestra at Carnegie Hall's 120th anniversary gala. Shaham continues his season-long exploration of concertos of the 1930s with Walton's 1939 Violin Concerto. Also on the program are works by Mussorgsky and Ravel including Pictures at an Exhibition.
