Hollenbeck plays Hollenbeck and Meredith Monk

On November 30th, 2009, composer and percussionist John Hollenbeck launched the first in a series of live Q2 webcasts from Greenwich Village’s (Le) Poisson Rouge with an ambitious, kinetic performance of music from his new CD, Eternal Interlude (including some pieces receiving their New York premiere) as well as the music of Meredith Monk reimagined for quintet.

Hollenbeck has gained critical acclaim through his leadership of many avant-garde ensembles, including the Claudia Quintet, and through a rich and ongoing collaboration with pioneers in new jazz and classical music circles.
