Jeffrey Kahane Plays Mozart

Pianist and conductor Jeffrey Kahane has a longstanding specialty in Mozart. He frequently plays the composer's piano concerts while conducting from the keyboard. During the 2005–06 concert season, he performed all 23 of the concertos as part of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra's celebration of the 250th anniversary of the composer's birth. On this week's broadcast he brings three of them to the New York Philharmonic.
