Two new shows in New York focus on life in the former Soviet bloc during the last thirty years. The exhibits, at the New Museum and at the Museum of Modern Art, portray a time when old systems were beginning to crumble and new ones were emerging. Case Study, at MoMA, is up for three more weeks, and Ostalgia, at the New Museum, runs through September.

In this week's Arts File, Liz White talks with WQXR and WNYC arts critic Carolina Miranda about the exhibits.
