The New York Philharmonic performs Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 “Resurrection” at Avery Fisher Hall on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Music director Alan Gilbert conducts with soprano Dorothea Röschmann, mezzo-soprano Michelle DeYoung and the New York Choral Artists directed by Joseph Flummerfelt. WQXR will broadcast the concert live, hosted by Jeff Spurgeon.

Is there a recording of this concert available for purchase?? It was fantastic right up until the part where it was cut off in the final few minutes! A wonderful job done by the NY Philharmonic!!

Thank you for providing us with this archival stream. I listened to the live broadcast on WQXR on September 10, then watched it the next evening on WNET. It truly was an amazing performance of this magnificent symphony! I will certainly revisit this site to listen again as often as I can over the next two weeks that this stream is available. Once again, thanks!

Maybe it was the mood of the day but I don't recall hearing Mahler's 2nd played with more feeling than the 9/11 performance by the NYPhilharmonic and guests. It was a riveting performance. Well done.
