Today’s program is more exciting than your average 60th birthday party…with waaay better music.

Founded in 1951, the mission of the Concert Artists Guild is right in step with that of The McGraw-Hill Company’s Young Artist Showcase: find, foster, and promote young artists. So, a teen you might hear playing virtuosic violin or piano on YAS is probably right on track to become a future member of the CAG.

Featuring current members and also some alumni, the professional musicians on today's program are all benefactors of the Concert Artists Guild. Toady, in return, they share their artistry in celebration. We're glad we get to listen in.

Another special aspect of today's show: it’s taking place in The Greene Space, right here at WQXR headquarters.

Performers on today’s program include the Afiara Quartet, pianist Michael Brown, harpist Bridget Kibbey, violinist Hye-Jim Kim, soprano Sarah Wolfson, and baritone Thomas Meglioranza.
