And nothing inspires one's ''ultra violence'' like a listen to the Ninth.....( time for abit of the old ''surprise visit'' perhaps?)

Where's Symphony 9? Nothing keeps me running further and faster than the Ode to Joy... Also, I find the Allegretto of the Seventh weirdly motivating.

This whole Beethoven shtick is rather disappointing, and even nauseating. Every month is Beethoven Awareness Month on WQXR. Can you think of a composer who needs this sort of thing LESS? How about a Josquin Awareness Month? For me, this is Beethoven I Couldn't Care Less Month.

I like either classical music (the finale of The Enigma Variations always gets me hopping) or some of the livelier numbers from my "Spirit of Scotland" cd, especially "Last o' the Lairds," "A Scottish Soldier," and "The Eightsome Reels."
